1. Consider and review practices in recording and maintaining records of gender, ethnicity, disability and LGBT+ employment practices, to comply with the proposal put forward by the Liberal Democrats for large employers to publish this data in terms of employment levels, pay gaps and progression for each.
2. Review recruitment practices and systems that may hinder or support the removal of candidate’s personal information such as name, nationality and university from any CV’s or application forms. This is in anticipation of the Liberal Democrats proposal to promote the use of name-blind recruitment processes.
3. Consider your policies and practices in how you support those with caring responsibilities, ensuring managers are equipped with the skills and confidence to ensure compliance with any post election changes. This is in anticipation of the Liberal Democrats pledge to introduce paid carers leave and guarantee regular respite breaks for unpaid carers. In addition to this, there is a proposal to make caring a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010.
