With over 20 years' experience, Gill holds Law Society accreditation for the Family Law and Children Panel and is a committee member of Resolution. She also previously held the position of Resolution Regional Press Officer for Lancashire & Cumbria region. Gill has previously lectured in family law for a number of years at a local college.

She specialises and has a great deal of expertise in dealing with all aspects of children matters, regularly representing parties in often complex proceedings issued before the Court. Gill repeatedly takes instructions from Children's Guardians at Cafcass. In addition to public law matters representing, children, parents and family members, Gill also represents parties in forced marriage cases, female genital mutilation and honor-based violence. Gill receives instructions to advise and represent children and parents in matters relating to deprivation of liberty and gender recognition. Gill has been responsible for multi-jurisdictional cases before the High Court. Gill is effective at resolving issues in private law disputes on behalf of Children's Guardians, she has excellent knowledge of the Children Act and has a strong desire to provide exceptional service and obtain the right outcome.

Gill regularly attends the open meeting of the Family Procedure Rules Committee to remain updated on forthcoming changes and amendments to the Family Procedure Rules.

Through her knowledge of the law and procedure she is thorough and meticulous in her preparation and providing client care. Gill ensures that client's expectations are managed through being realistic and open, bringing clarity to issues.
