The Claimant was involved in a RTA on the motorway.
The Claim was intimated in the MOJ Portal and the Insurers admitted liability.
The claim subsequently fell out of the Portal as a result of the value of the claim exceeding the Portal limit.
The Claimant suffered whiplash injuries to their neck, lower back and shoulders, together with a soft tissue injury to their hip, tinnitus with mild right sided hearing loss, and PTSD. Medical reports were obtained from an Orthopaedic Surgeon, An ENT Surgeon and a Consultant Psychologist.
An offer to settle was made by the Defendants at the pre-litigation stage in the sum of £25,000, although they refused to set out or confirm what their offer was in relation to future rehabilitation that had been recommended by the various Experts, in the form of counselling treatment and hip injection therapy treatment.
Court proceedings were issued and the Defendants then made an increased offer to settle the claim at the pre-allocation stage in the sum of £35,250.00. The offer was accepted.
